Elon Musk sets an example: one of the world’s largest energy companies is also leaving the woke state

According to signs, the move of the Tesla leader seems to be becoming contagious.

The Chevron Corporation is following Elon Musk’s example and leaving the state of California – as reported by Világgazdaság.

Chevron, an American multinational energy company engaged in oil and gas activities, announced that, similar to Tesla’s move, they will relocate their headquarters from California by the end of the year. The company is globally known and is one of the largest integrated energy companies, so their departure could entail significant prestige loss for the state, known for its liberal policies.

The decision may be driven by California’s strict environmental regulations and the lack of business-friendly measures. Chevron’s executives have repeatedly warned the California political leadership that these measures significantly hinder their business activities and impede new investments.

Since their complaints have not been heard, the company is moving to Houston, Texas, where a more business-friendly environment awaits them.

Thus, Chevron is following Elon Musk’s example, who had previously relocated Tesla, SpaceX, and the Boring Company from California to Texas. In addition to Musk’s companies, several hundred large companies have also followed suit, including HP, Toyota Motor North America, Kubota Tractor Corporation, Charles Schwab Corporation, and CBRE Group.

As a result, Texas has become one of the main hubs of the American oil industry, and the state’s economy has already surpassed that of some G7 countries.
