The Secret Service has prepared a new security plan for the protection of Donald Trump, former US President and Republican Party candidate, following the July attack. As part of the plan, members of Joe Biden’s current presidential security team have been reassigned to Trump.
The New York Times reports that members of Joe Biden’s presidential security team have been reassigned to provide security for Donald Trump, former President and Republican presidential candidate.
The move is unusual, but the threat to Trump and Biden’s decreasing willingness to travel makes it necessary and justified, explained a former member of the presidential security team to the newspaper.
In addition, Trump will also receive a special bulletproof glass for outdoor campaign events, usually only provided to the sitting President and Vice President, partly because the transportation is quite cumbersome.
After the attack in mid-July in Butler, Pennsylvania, the Secret Service requested that Trump’s campaign team suspend outdoor events for a while, reported The Washington Post. Since then, the former President has not held any outdoor campaign rallies, only a press conference in Bedminster, New Jersey.
However, in October he will return to the scene of the attack, Butler – Trump revealed in a conversation with Elon Musk, the billionaire behind X social media platform.
