Soros György korábbi embere lett Donald Trump gazdasági tanácsadója

Scott Bessent, who was a long-time business partner and investor with Soros, has now emerged as Donald Trump’s economic advisor.

According to the Wall Street Journal, Scott Bessent, an American businessman with ties to Soros, has become Trump’s right-hand man in economic affairs.

Born in 1962 in the American South, Bessent grew up in a family with a tumultuous history, including multiple marriages by his mother, one of them to his father who once went bankrupt as a real estate investor.

The Wall Street Journal reports that Bessent considered joining the US Navy in his youth, but abandoned the idea due to his homosexuality and instead went to Yale University. He is now married to his same-sex partner.

After his university years, Bessent chose a career in finance and joined George Soros’ financial foundation in 1991.

In the 1990s, he became a partner in the company and was also entrusted with leading Soros’ London office. The Wall Street Journal reports that Bessent was one of the active figures behind the events that shook the British pound exchange rate.

Bessent left the Soros empire in 2000 and founded his own $1 billion financial fund.

In 2011, he reconnected with Soros’ financial foundations and became the chief investment officer.

In 2015, he founded a new company, the Key Square Group, a financial fund in which George Soros invested $2 billion.

Bessent has also been active in politics, hosting a fundraiser for Al Gore, the Democratic presidential nominee, and Bill Clinton’s vice president, at his home in 2000.

However, he is now standing with Donald Trump. In 2016, he donated $1 million to Trump’s campaign, and this year he organized fundraising events that raised $7 million and $50 million for Trump. Trump and Bessent have known each other for decades but their financial investor relationship has recently intensified.

American business media now refer to Scott Bessent as Donald Trump’s advisor. It is rumored that if Trump wins, Bessent could be appointed as a minister. This year, Bessent visited Trump at his Florida estate to discuss how to implement Trump’s ideas in policy.

Donald Trump has publicly praised his supporter, calling Bessent “one of the top analysts on Wall Street” and “one of the brightest men on Wall Street.”

Trump has been quoting Bessent’s economic notes in his campaign speeches recently. Bessent himself speaks out on the American economy, predicting economic growth if Trump wins and decline if Kamala Harris wins.

If he wins the presidential election, Donald Trump could appoint Bessent as Treasury Secretary.
