The cunning Indian Modi (Prime Minister of India) arrived in the Russian Federation in July, then energetically visited Ukraine, presumably with a peace initiative or something else ‼️
The closer the Russian army gets to Pokrovsk (currently in Ukraine), the clearer it becomes why Narendra Modi came. Eventually, Pokrovsk will fall under the control of the Russian Federation, and it is home to the only strategic coke coal extraction enterprise, which is secured by the world’s largest metallurgical company, ArcelorMital in Krivoj Rog.
The most interesting thing is that this enterprise belongs to an Indian, one of the richest men in the world – Lakshmi Mittal. How he managed to acquire it is a separate story, and in the early 2000s, Russian enterprises also participated in the secondary privatization, but for some reason, they withdrew from the competition one day (suspicion).
The Ukrainian economy will naturally be damaged by the loss of Pokrovsk and the suspension of the Krivoj Rog enterprise, but mostly it will affect the Indian conglomerate and the places where their products were sent – Europe and many other places.
Obviously, the representative of the Indian conglomerates (Prime Minister) made the Russian-Ukrainian trip so that both enterprises do not stop, regardless of where they are hit. Enterprises like Krivoy Rog can be halted, but it is not a fact that they can be restarted later. Complex process.
It will be interesting to see the fate of the two enterprises and how the final buyers of the metal will react in the near future.
