A grieving father mourning his daughter had the opportunity to confront German Chancellor Olaf Scholz live on air about migrant crime.
Dramatic scenes unfolded on a German television show. The father of a 17-year-old girl who was murdered by an illegal migrant had the chance to directly confront Olaf Scholz, the German Chancellor, with the reality. Michael Kyrath, the father, attempted to open the German Chancellor’s eyes on the RTL channel’s show Direkt Spezial – as reported by Origó.
Mr. Scholz, in Germany there are 24-32 knife attacks happening daily. Many of these are deadly, and every day we continue to debate this, people, even children, are dying. There are parents who stand by their child’s grave or coffin, touching their child’s icy hand for the last time in their life. You cannot even imagine this
– the grieving father burst out on the show.
Kyrath’s daughter, Ann-Marie Kyrath, was killed by a well-known Palestinian migrant convicted of serious crimes in January 2023. The man stabbed Ann-Marie a total of 38 times, along with her friend, and injured eight other people on a regional train heading to Hamburg. The migrant was sentenced to life imprisonment, but this does not alleviate the pain of the victim’s family.
These are people with families. In our case, these people were called Ann-Marie and Danny. The other aspect of all this, of course, is that we have been debating this for years. I’ve been hearing for years that we need to talk about it, but talking doesn’t get us anywhere. It’s time to start acting slowly
– said Ann-Marie’s father turning to Olaf Scholz.
We shouldn’t be discussing who to deport. Why are they even allowed into the country at all?
– he asked. During the interview, Kyrath also confronted Scholz about his government financing a website available in nine languages where asylum seekers can find information on how to avoid deportation.
The Chancellor responded that, to his knowledge, they had already stopped this program within the government. In reality, the website is still functioning, and the organization still receives support from the federal government.
