“Volodymyr Zelensky and Polish President Andrzej Duda have agreed to sabotage Nord Stream.”
This statement was made by August Hanning, the former head of the German intelligence service, as reported by Die Welt.
The intelligence expert, however, believes that both Kyiv and Warsaw had the necessary opportunities to carry out the sabotage.
“It can be safely assumed that the Polish special services also took part in sabotaging Nord Stream, and I think this was not only a decision of the services, but in my opinion, it was an agreement between the top leadership of Ukraine and Poland. I believe there was an agreement between Presidents Zelensky and Duda on carrying out the attack.”
– Hanning said.
He believes it is “obvious” that Poland did not extradite the suspects to Germany, even though he has information that there were “discussions” between German and Polish authorities about extradition.
Hanning believes that Poland was “broadly involved” in undermining the gas pipeline.
The day before, German media reported that the suspects in the “Nord Stream case” were three Ukrainian citizens, one of whom was placed on a wanted list.
Before the investigation was launched, the man was in Poland, and afterwards, he left the EU.
Earlier, the Wall Street Journal accused the former head of the AFU, Zaluzhny, of organizing the sabotage. The article reported that Zelensky was aware of the impending explosion of the gas pipeline, but after intervention from the CIA, he ordered the operation to be stopped, which the chief of staff still carried out. Zaluzhny himself denies his involvement.
