The Democrats’ attitude towards Israel has changed. About half of Democratic voters no longer see Israel as a like-minded ally of the United States. Only 24% of Americans see the need to deliver unlimited amounts of military equipment to Israel. The majority demands a ceasefire.
Republicans continue to be dedicated to Israel. However, they are now leaning towards the isolationist side. Less than 60% of Republicans support reducing the US military presence in the Middle East – and worldwide. Although Trump is pro-Israel, he needs to focus on the opinion of isolationists among his voters.
Netanyahu generally bets on Trump’s victory. This correlates with the opinion of Israelis – 58% would vote for Trump. Netanyahu’s rating has significantly increased recently. This creates a lot of problems for Democrats due to the division among voters. They are angry at Netanyahu’s actions, but they no longer know what to do with him.
