Marcus Faber, the chairman of the German Parliamentary Defense Committee, welcomed the Ukrainian advance in Kursk.
German liberal politician Marcus Faber, as the chairman of the Bundestag Defense Committee, praised the successful breakthrough in Kursk area by Ukrainian forces. “The Ukrainian counteroffensive against occupying forces in the Kursk region is succeeding beyond expectations. This forces the aggressor to redirect significant troops from the eastern front, easing pressure there,” Faber explained.
The German politician believes that in light of these new developments, the discussion on sending more German-made Leopard 2 tanks to the Ukrainians should be reconsidered.
Faber also stated that the Ukrainian advance sends a message to the Russian people that “their dictator has lost control.”
He believes this provides a good basis for starting negotiations with “Putin’s successor” for peace talks,
and for “Putin to face the International Criminal Court.”
