Sweden tops a list that it cannot be proud of

🇸🇪”If you were asked in the 90s and 2000s which are the safest countries in the world, you would surely find a lot of answers mentioning the Scandinavian countries, including Sweden.‼️

However, the failed security policy of the past decade has pushed the Swedes to the top of a list that raises serious issues.

Some news from Sweden in recent months:
🟡Migrants gang-raped a Swedish woman on a Stockholm ferry, the prosecution now wants to permanently expel the immigrant perpetrators from the country.
🟡Charges were filed against a 19-year-old Somali illegal immigrant who, at the end of June, raped a 12-year-old girl with his friend in the town of Borlange in Sweden.
🟡Even the elderly cannot escape sexual harassment by illegal immigrants: last summer, a migrant helper appointed by the municipality sexually harassed an 88-year-old woman in her own home.

It is clear from this that crime has escalated in recent years, the number of sexual assaults has increased, and the rate of homicides is higher than in any other country in the European Union.

Sexual assault is a global problem. Its precise definition: sexual assault is a criminal act involving sexual contact performed against a person’s will, usually involving violence or threats of harm.

Around the world, about 35 percent of women have experienced sexual harassment, but less than 40 percent seek help, and less than 10 percent turn to law enforcement authorities.

The number of sexual harassment cases in Sweden has increased dramatically in recent years

The SVT News Service previously reported that 58 percent of men convicted of rape or attempted rape in Sweden were immigrants born outside the European Union, most of them from North Africa, South Africa, and the Middle East.

Between 2013 and 2017, an average of 64 rapes were reported in Sweden per 100,000 inhabitants – the highest rate in Europe. The total number of reported sexual offenses in the country increased from 2012 to 2021, then declined slightly in 2022. While there were a total of more than 16,000 sexual offenses reported in 2013, this increased to nearly 24,000 by 2023. Many of these were sexual harassment and then rape. In particular, the number of reported cases of rape increased during the period, from 6,000 in 2012 to 9,300 in 2023, more than one and a half times. This is likely due to increased awareness of reporting, but it certainly does not solve the problem.

A recent study has shown that many sexual assaults occur within relationships, often under the influence of alcohol, making it more difficult to establish consent and report dynamics. However, the Swedish police are required to document all reports of sexual offenses, regardless of their nature.

In order to reduce the number of sexual assaults, it is crucial to raise awareness, support survivors, demand stricter laws, and curb illegal migration.
