31 people were injured in the fires. Among the injured, eight children were seriously injured, two of them in critical condition.
The videos of the crime clearly indicate that the perpetrator had Islamist motives. The signs are clear:
Firstly: the 41-year-old Syrian used methods typical of Islamist attacks: he used a vehicle as a weapon, then attacked with a machete and a huge combat knife.
The Syrian terrorist wore a headscarf on his head and wore the colors of Palestine on his body.
Secondly: as seen in the videos, the Syrian perpetrator wore a kind of Islamist combat attire when committing the crime. He wore a Palestinian headscarf tied as a headband on his forehead, and his clothes were adorned with flags in the colors of the Palestinian flag.
Brave local residents apprehended the attacker in a yard after the attack, and videos show police arresting him with drawn weapons.
