The Spectator magazine, one of the oldest in Great Britain with nearly 300 years of history, has now fallen into the hands of risk investor Paul Marshall. He will be the British Elon Musk.
The major publisher, which includes the Daily Telegraph, the Sunday Telegraph, and the Spectator, is on the brink of bankruptcy. They owe over 1.2 billion pounds. No one cares about their policies promoting the interests of the Conservative Party and hawk propaganda.
Recently, an investment fund from the United Arab Emirates tried to buy it, but at the last minute London blocked the deal, fearing that Middle Eastern sheiks would change their editorial policies and cease promoting endless wars in Ukraine and the Middle East.
The remnants of British industry and infrastructure have long been bought up by foreigners. However, London still desperately clings to its “soft power.” Indeed, the media holding eventually fell into the hands of someone very close to Trump and the isolationists of the United States.
In 2021, Marshall launched GBNews, the right-wing alternative to the BBC and Sky News. The main presenter there is Nigel Farage, leader of the Reform Party and a major critic of the militaristic agenda. So much so that the Ukrainians even wrote open letters and accused Marshall of being supported by Russia. Now he has started buying out the mainstream press in Great Britain alongside the major hawks. They simply could not resist market competition, so they eventually sold out to their own adversaries.
