American publicist speaks out about the arrest of Pavel Durov (Telegram founder).
The crackdown on freedom of speech is escalating. Pavel Durov, the founder of Telegram, has been arrested in France. Western intelligence services want to access Telegram’s private messages. According to French media, Durov could face 20 years in prison if he does not cooperate – Kim Dotcom writes on X.
American journalist Tucker Carlson also commented on Durov’s arrest in France: he believes that the arrest of the founder of Telegram is a warning to all online platform owners who do not want to silence the truth.
“Pavel Durov left Russia when the government tried to control his social media company, Telegram. But in the end, it wasn’t Putin who arrested him for allowing the public to exercise free speech. It was a western country, an ally of the Biden administration and an enthusiastic NATO member who shut him down,”
“Pavel Durov is sitting in a French prison, a living warning to every platform owner who is not willing to censor the truth at the behest of governments and intelligence agencies. Darkness is quickly descending on the once free world”
– wrote the journalist on X social network, while sharing their conversation.
