The former news anchor has not completely moved away from the media world.

Do you remember the always strict, extremely perfectionist professional news anchor, Andrea Földi-Kovács, who was awarded several awards? We haven’t seen her on screen since July 2021 when she resigned from Hír TV, but as it turns out, she has not completely distanced herself from the media world. However, her former work as a news anchor has completely transformed: she has converted and turned her full attention towards religion. She can be seen on her YouTube channel called Axioma, and she and her husband, László Földi, are constantly traveling around the country. “When I went home to my husband for the first time after the spiritual exercises, I was thinking about what I would say to him. I prayed throughout that the Lord would help me and not cause any dramatic changes, fractures, or injuries in our relationship. In the end, I told Laci, don’t be angry with me for anything I will do in the future. Because there will surely be many things that will be strange to him,” she said in the A lélek szava podcast in response to how her environment experienced her conversion.

Andrea did not receive a religious upbringing in her childhood, and instead of television, she prepared for a career in the fine arts for a long time. It wasn’t until 2005 that her focus turned towards the media world, and her perfectionism quickly made her one of the leading faces in news reporting. She started at Hír TV as a beginner, where she went through the professional ranks: starting with news reports, then shooting investigative materials, becoming a news presenter, leading studio discussions, but from 2015 to 2017 she moved to MTVA, and finally returned in 2018 for another three years to the main channel that had employed her for ten years. By then, however, she consciously sought a way to live her Christianity both in her profession and in her personal life… This became her public affairs magazine show called Credo, in which she discussed public and cultural topics from a religious perspective with her invited guests.
